Now the car was put away for the winter and of course needed more horse power because the car was just not fast for my taste on the street. So looking around on LS1Tech and saw the STS Rear Mount Turbo System used for $2500. That was all I had to see talked to my buddy and asked him what his thought were on turboing the SS, he went nuts and said do it.
This is what i bought over the winter:
-STS Turbo System (60mm Turbo, 38mm Tial Wastegate and 50mm BOV)
-AEM Tru Boost Gauge -AEM UEGO Wideband
-42# Injectors -MSD Boost-a-Pump
-Walbro 255 Intank Pump -Hot Wire Kit for pumps
-Centerforce Dual Fricton Clutch -Centerforce Steel Flywheel
-TRT Turbo Front Mount Intercooler Kit -Patriot Daul Gold Valve Springs
-Bassani Off Road Y-Pipe 2 1/2" -Custom 2 1/2" I-Pipe to Turbo
-Custom under axel cold side pipe from turbo -Tuned by Eastside Performance in Conneticut
So that winter was expensive but the money was worth the results i saw. On 5 PSI I made to the wheels 394rwhp and 431rwtq then upper the boost to 10PSI and got 525rwhp and 557rwtq. Ths car was the high way king when it came to racing it never lost a race whe it was on 10PSI. Took the car to the track going easy on the 10bolt and did a 2.1 60' and 12.2 at 126mph in the 1/4 mile. Pictures of the built are on the next page.
