1960 DeSoto Fireflite HDTP. A true survivor with only 16,000 original miles on it. Purchased new by the little-old-lady that we hear about in Chicago in June of 1960, she quit driving it in November of 1970. At that point the car had only 10,000 miles on it and it sat in the garage until the mid 90's when the family sold it to a collector in Texas, he then sold it to a DeSoto club member in Portland and I purchased it in 2001.
I had a model of a 60 Adventurer and always wanted a 60 Desoto. Found it on Collector Car Trader in Portland OR and bought it. Had 15,700 miles on it in 2002. Still had the original chevrons glued to the tail lights.
Optional 3 speed automatic, push button heater, AM radio, map light, power steering with nicer steering wheel. Has the 361 V8 2v (295 HP) with the push button, power steering and brakes, AM radio and is in mint condition. Still has the original air filter and distributor cap.
Original seats, door panels and headliner. Carpet was musty and replaced shortly after I bought with a carpet that came with the car from a defunct DeSoto dealer so the carpet is a factory replacement. Padded dash was redone after age took its toll on it.
