The car looked like this when I purchased it off ebay. It ran o.k. with 85k on the clock - front side exhaust manifold on the 2.8 V6 leak needed to be dealt with. I drove it this way twice. I paid too much and traveled too far for the base car due to impatience.

I decided not to address the manifold leak - instead decided to do an engine swap. Carb'd 350 SBC with the existing 4 spd. muncie.

Drove it like that 5-6 times ( my Dad , brother and one friend are the only ones that can swear to it - I have thier fingernails in the old dash pad ) and next up was replacing the incorrect rear bumper( car was purchased on a salvage title - it was hit at 2-3 years old, whoever fixed it used an SE rear bumper that obviously didn't match the GT, ground effect body panels), stage 3 rear quarters ( from Australia ), hood extractor, rear deck mustang scoop, coilovers ( hacked my new KYBs to accomplish this), rebuid the brakes, minor upgrades - slotted and drilled rotors - (stainless lines coming ),heavy front sway bar ( Fiero Store 1" ), moving the front 7/8" sway bar to the rear, front lowering ball joints (Rodney Dickmans drops the front 1"), quieter spiral exhaust, replace the interior ( cracked vent corners and light grey getting replaced with pristene black interior components from an 87GT parts car I picked up), oh and fix and replace everything else that was old, cracked faded or worn/missing. Therein was my mistake....taking on too many changes at once. Once I finish that list it needs painted. So here is my WORK IN PROGRESS. Every Fall I say,"In the Spring - In the Spring ". Some things are done. PICs
Here is what the new leather seats look like - Mr. Mikes

Rear quarters and wheels before the brake work started.

Notice the stone walled garage and coblestone garage with a river flowing through it I have to work in. The weather and moisture are my enimies ( I will not be beaten ).
So there is my first posting. Check back often as I dress this up and update it !
