I was just asked Why not add a PS3?
A PS3 would be a waist of time in a car,
PS3 is too advanced to make sence,
There is no indash unit made (exept Auto PC's, wich are not advanced, and/or supported enough to be worth it)to beniffit from all the PS3 has to offer.
Believe me I was going
Auto PC? PS3? Kenwood Excelon 8120? for two mounths.
It comes down to, there is no reason to have 1080p, because there is no small monitors out you would be able to beniffit from the higher "res".
(Not to mention 1080p Blue Ray)
Plus the PS3 is one of the best preamp tunners out, but it's only beniffits if you can go HDMI or Optic digital. (Alpine make optic input Amps)but you need to be able to convert, or add more outputs (PS3 only has one HDMI or Optic) to feed your other amps. No 7.1.
There is a USB to Analog 5.1 Device availible, "BUT" PS3 has no audio out on it's USBs,
(only input data & Head set Mic Audio) No 7.1.
Forget trying to go from HDMI or Optic Digital to Analoge Coax, poeple will just look at you stupid and ask why?
The only thing a PS3 is good for in a car is, "Bragging", and A "BIG" Hard drive.
NOT Audio or funktion.
I'll stick to the PS2 for now and add a 250Gg Hard drive USB,
(Fuck an I-Pod) on my Kenwood 8120 CD,DVD,Hard drive-NAV, 5.1 Audio, Parrot Bluetooth with Bluetooth Audio from my phone.
