This is the story of a 1979 CJ5

Here is where we started. A fiberglass tub, all painted ready to go. All it needed was....everything else.

So we borrowed a drive train from a 1985 cj7. It was a 258 I6 5 speed.

Here a a few pieces from it

Over the course of the project we decided to have the inside of the tub done with a spray in bed liner. It came out really nice. Super easy to clean.

Almost everything on this jeep was painted. Now all we have to do is try and keep it this clean.

Here are the latest shots of the jeep. Taken at the local cruise nite.

Wow-great looking CJ! I agree with the opening statement- 'all it needed was everything else'. Very similar to my experience. Have you made any progress on this? It takes alot of little details to make these projects driveable. Well- back to work for me!
