This is my 1996 Ford Explorer Sport. It has a 4.0L V6 and a 5sp. It also has a custom straight axle with 12" of lift. The front is a Dana 30 with a lock rite locker and the rear is the stock Ford 8.8 with limited slip both have 4.56. It also has a Warn winch. The tires are Super Swamper TSL's size Q78x16.
This is a buddy's Jeep with 35s. The explorer has 265/70s on it. My buddy must hate this picture.
Just a little side note, if anyone is interested in a straight axle conversion for your explorer or ranger let me know.
This is after the suspension was put together, just checking things out
This is a close up of the front suspension.
The famous before picture.
A few flex shots.
Just in case there was any doubt. The truck now has a Dana 44 front with a mini spool and the rear is a Ford 9" with a full spool. Both have 5.13 gears. Check out the new video
