I first purchased this 1993 Honda Civic EX in August of 2003. Somewhere between April and May of 2004, I threw a rod in the factory D16Z6. Just some good information; Do. Not. Drive. In. The. Rain. With. A. Cold. Air. Intake. When water gets ingested in the engine, the engine tries to compress water, not the air and fuel. This creates a devasting effect known as Hydrolock. The piston seized in the cylinder, so the the rod broke off, since it couldn't pull the piston down, and basically, the rod couldn't go up and down, so it went round and round, and out the block it went. I replaced that engine with a junkyard D15B7 out of a 1992 Honda Civic DX. It bolted up perfectly execpt for the fact that back in 1992, honda used mechanical sensors for such things as the MAP, TPS, IAVC... and on my 1993, the sensors are electrical. Simply put, it was an engine that had the sensors, but the main harness on the body of my Civic wouldn't match up. So nothing ran smooth. And the chain is only as strong as it's weakest link, which brings me to the second event of my ownership... In June of 2004, I rear-ended an 89 corsica. The damage you see in the pictures is from a 25MPH crash. I'm not lying. It totaled the front end of my Civic, and actually, what is shown in the pics, is from me and my father trying to beat some of the dents out. Well, after the wreck, the water pump went out, the "cat" fell off, the clutch went out, the shifter broke, the alternator failed, and the coil in the igintion some how expired it's life. All this didnt' happen at once, but over the course of a year. In the later half of 2004, I was victim of a psycho ex-girlfriend and some of her thugs. The some how broke in, popped my hood, and stole my short ram intake, plug wires, distrbutor cap, and they tried to take the headers. On the inside, the ex broke the clear instrument cluster, and stole my speedometer needle and fuel needle. Yes. She is a psycho. I finally got the car up and running again, and disappeared for a while. I've but the car back together as best as I can, and this is what I've got; enjoy...
