Figure it's been 8 months since I've updated this and have some new pictures so enjoy! Also in case anyone is interested the truck is listed on autotrader for $26,500 so let me know if you've got an offer.
Well My truck is starting to go through some changes... Here are a few pictures on the updates. Followed by a few details and then the old pictures.
Sorry the truck is so dirty. It is missing my rear deavers which will give me 2.5" more of lift in the rear for a slight forward rake after I crank up my Radflo 2.0 Coilovers in the front.
Below are some install pictures and comparison pictures.
The new tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/50/22. These really help fill the wheel wells... The lift consists of:
CST 4" spindle
Radflo 2.0 Front Coilovers (gives 1"-4" of lift
Deaver 2.5" mini-pack
Fabtech 2" tapered rear block
Bilstein 5125 rear shocks
CST carrier bearing drop bracket
With the extra rotaional mass being added with these huge tires and the fact that I do a bit of towing I decided it was time to upgrade the braking system as well. I choose to use Stillen's Big Brake kit consisting on 14" cross drilled vented and sloted rotors as well as there massive calipers with steal braided brake lines.
Below are some of the older pictures. I will be sure to get it all cleaned up for more pictures here real soon... Hopefully after I get the Deavers on.
Here is my new 06 Titan. This is my first truck and I love the thing! Anyways... I've had about 3 months with it and the first thing I did with it was the wheels and tires...
These are the new Neeper N6 wheels that came out earlier this year... So far I haven't seen anyone else with them on and I think the square-ness of these wheels compliment the rest of the truck... LOOK AT THAT LIP! These wheels are 10 and 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure what the backspacing or the lip is but I do know my g/f and fit her entire foot on the lip... She wears ladies 6 which are small but still.
These are the first set of tires I had on my truck. These are the Pirelli Scorpions... I thought that they would be a good match with the rims and would provide a good ride since the Dodge SRT-10 uses these tires and the brand Pirelli is well known for their performance tires... WOW I was wrong... 3 of the 4 tires weren't perfectly round which made for a bad vibration at 65-85 mph. NTB traded them out for my new Falken Ziex S/TZ-04 Tires. Not exactly sure what size I went with but they are exactly 31" tall which is the same as stock. I will get some pictures of these soon and let you know what size they are. The tires are 12 and 1/2 inches wide for a real aggressive stance. Here are a few pictures of the install.
Next I purchased 2 JL Audio e1200 amps and 2 10" 10w1's. My plans changed and I didn't use the box I designed... I'm still thinking about building it though. I still have the amps if some is intersted in purchasing them... One of them is brand new in the box. I will post pics of what I have to sell a little later.
Next up is the new audio set up. Here I decided to go with a little bigger than the last one. 4 Rockford Fosgate P2's in a fiberglass box that all fits under the back seat. I haven't got in the truck yet because I don't know if I want to keep the box carpeted or if I'm going to go with a more "finer" finsh and paint the box to match the truck. My delema is that I have 2 dogs and I will probably end up getting the thing scratched like crazy! Also I need to get some amps... Right now the box is wired to run at 1 Ohm but I'm thinking I'm going to get 2 RF P4002 400 Watt 2-Channel Amplifiers. These will push 200 watts RMS on each channel at 2 Ohms. This is what they look like.
Next 3 pictures are of the 4 tens and the box in the house after being carpeted.
I'm working on deciding what to do with the box... Finish it with some paint or leave as is. Also trying to decide on what amp or amps to use. Let me know what you think in the poll at the top of the page!
I took a couple pictures of my favorite thing to pull this weekend... This is our 20' 06 Cobalt. This sucker with the trailer ways a very heavy 5500 lbs! With the truck, boat, trailer, gear, and people I know I'm pushing 11,000 lbs if not a full 6 tons!!! I'm looking at upgrading the brakes... The trailer has "safety brakes" which just means that if it came off the hitch and the chain gets pulled it activates the 4 drum brakes to slow the sucker down... LOL Any other titan owners out there that have upgraded their brakes for hauling? Let me know what you have done and what gets the job done.
This is the way I want my truck to sit when I'm not towing, but if I just put lowering shakles on it the front end would be in the air when I do tow... Looking into helper bags maybe? Again Titan owners who tow and like the LEVEL look need to help me out here as far as what works...
This Cobalt sure is the "Caddilac" of runabout boats. (The g/f wanted this one... I really wanted a wakeboarding boat... but this is a great 1st boat!)
Next are some tire shots to show you what I used to grip the ground!
Next is a good picture showing the depth of the wheel with this huge lip... Sorry the wheel was so dirty... I was headed to the lake so I didn't give her a bath prior to taking these pictures.
Next is a tip shot of the exhaust I used... Should have waited to get a Banks but you know how waiting is...
Here is my daily driver... I live 26 miles from work so this does the trick on allowing me to spend the extra money on gas for the boat... (She's got a 40 gallon tank! At 3.69 on the lake it doesn't take long to hit the $150.00 mark!)
Well that's pretty much all I have for now... I think my first project to tackle will be refinishing the sub box with some smoothing and paint...
We'll here's the latest... I've removed the subs and the carpet and started working on the box. First I removed the carpet and all the sticky residue. Then I started sanding away at the box. I used a router on the top edge of the box for a smoother more consistant look. Here are some pictures... Also I decided since I have 2 dogs that I'm going to have the box sprayed with black truck bed liner and make a once piece grill. I'm going to smooth it with some glass and have the grill painted to match the box. (Just a touch of flair... that will be protected from my dogs.) I will upload some pictures of the framework of the grill later.
Well it's been awhile since I've updated this and my plans had changed about the glassed box... I did some more work on it and changed my mind about the whole set up of speakers and amps. Before I bought the new subs and amp I finshed up the box... I desided the bedliner box with a one peice speaker grill wasn't what I really wanted... and the painted box was going to get torn up pretty quickly. I decided to wrap the box in high marine grade vinyl. I picked 2 colors that would match the colors of the interior. Here's how it looks...
Well that's how it looks under the rear seat of the truck... It's a close fit and I did have to do some work with the bottom of the seats to allow full excursion of the sub. I really like how these subs sound with them facing the bottom of the seat. It atually helps "load" the subwoofer after hitting each note...
I decided to go with Infiniti subs... When I initially bought these subs they were just to fill the wholes and add some bass with a little budget... WOW I couldn't be anymore impressed! These are the best $100 subs I've ever heard! Amp wise I didn't spare any expense... I went with Boston Aucoustics GT-28 amp. This is a 2 channel amp that I have bridged down to a 2ohm load pushing 1100 watts. Great AMP!!! and great some VERY CLEAN bass... Don't have a picture of it yet but I will load one soon. Here are some more pictures!
Well that's all the ones I have of that... I'll get some of the amp rack and the amp here soon.
I am also going to have the engine shroud painted, the rear tailgate handle area, and considering having the rear bumper painted to match the body. Thanks for checking out the site and please sign the guest book with your opinions!
Oh wait... For got to put a picture of the best thing I have got in this truck... Here is my one and only. Love her pieces, she is the most gorgeous thing and she LOVES cars and that's why she drives a 05 G35... HEHE I'll start on that page next. Here is a picture of us in the truck and one of her not wanting me to take a picture in front of her G.
