burn4740's 1988 Chevrolet Camaro

My brother bought this Camaro shortly before joining the US Marines. I'm driving it while he's gone, probably buying it when he gets back. It has a stock 2.8L V6, but does pretty good on gas. It needs new headers; other than that the exhaust is new. I installed a Dual CD/MP3 player, which will have to do until I can afford the Pioneer DEH-P6800MP and an 30GB iPod. It will eventually be accompanied by two 800 watt 12" MTX subwoofers (T7512-04) powered by a 1600 watt MTX amp (801d, 800 watts rms @ 2 ohms) The stock speakers will be MTX 4x6's and 6x9's. I might put MTX 6 1/2" components in the doors and a 400 watt MTX 8" subwoofer (T5508-44) in the back powered by a 1120 watt MTX amp (Thunder564, 70 watts rms x 4 @ 4 ohms, subwoofer gets two channels). I probably need some Streetwires capacitors and a new alternator. Interior is pretty good, except for a rip in the driver's seat and cracks on the dash panel corners. I'm looking for new racing seats and some ebay trim panels. More pics on that later. Body is mostly solid, rusting around the handles and rear fenders. There's one hole on the driver's side by the bottom corner of the door. New paint and body work comes whenever I find the money. I'm thinking about going black or some shade of red. Thats after new tires, engine mounts, air filters (K&N), and AC condensor. I'll keep you updated as much as I can. Going to Kettering University this fall, so I'll see what time I have left to work on this car while in school.
