I have had this car since July of '02 2 weeks before I turned 16. Car came from Calafornia and had 82,000 miles on it. All work has been done By Myself, my Dad ,and my Uncle. Originally a 318 auto car, the need for speed required modification....

The Car is a rolling restoration. Major modifications were performed during the winter.

When i bought it, the Car was not safe to drive in Denver traffic. The suspension was shot and the brakes sucked. 4 wheel drums no power brakes and I later found out the rear brakes did not work at all (rear flexline was solid when cut in half!).

The car dragged its tailpipes on the ground when I drove it up the drive way. The rear suspension was treated to XHD leafsprings straight from Mopar, New shackles and U bolts ,poly bushings and a set of drag racing shocks my dad bought.

Brakes and front suspension came next. I purchased the master power brake front disc kit along with a just suspension poly front end rebuild kit. I also swapped out the old torsion bar for a set of Mopar Hemi handling torsion bars (originally had plans for 440 swap). The brakelines were replaced with new stainless ones from Inline tube. I had the car apart in the middle of the garage all winter. It was a slow process, work until your fingers get super cold, go inside warm up and repeat.

The new brakes required 15 inch or larger wheels. 15 x 7 up front 15x8 out back. 225/275 respectively. The wheels were purchased from stockton wheel.

I also installed helwig sway bars front and back. The front one is 1-1/8 inch and the rear is 1 inch in diameter. They work really well. Body roll was substantially reduced. Quick lane changes on the interstate are infintely better.

The interior required attention because there was a hole in the bench seat and I was sitting on the ground driving it. I wanted bucket seats. A salvage yard in medford oregon sent us two 69 charger seats with headrests. they were treated to new covers from legendary. I thought that all of the coronet bucket seats sucked but wanted to maintain period correctness. So I covered them with 68 charger covers. The back seat was covered to match. Also put in new carpet. Headrest were sent out and redone. (Pix of inerior soon, sorry)
