1980 Chevy Citation X-11 Notchback.
Here's my 1980 Chevrolet Citation X-11.
This was Motor Trend Magazine's 1980 "Car-Of-The-Year".

But as you can see, it didn't always look like this!

The car was painted last year in a one-color silver and is still on several sites.

Over that same winter however, I decided that since the car was originally two-tone, it should be brought back that way. So, here it is after its second repaint in one year. The original two-tone was actually black vinyl. I decided to be a little bolder and go with paint and some brighter colors. The colors you ask? 1990 Ford Silver and 1995 Ford Royal Blue - but it's still a
The Engine was also brought back to life. It started out like this.

And ended up like this.

The trunk also took a little work.

I did show the car locally in Indianapolis and it has several "Best-In-Class" wins.

Here's a few additional pics.

It was also selected as an entry in the 2008
"World of Wheels" car show in Indianapolis February 8th - 10th.

The car placed
"Outstanding-In-Class"

Kelly and Kristy of
"BOMSHEL" were also both kind enough to pose with the car.

If you're lucky, you not only reach your goal, but you exceed your expections - which is exactly what happened with this project. I had no idea it would come this far. It wasn't appreciated by all, but it was by most. The trophies and plaques that hang on my wall, the framed piece written by Hagerty Magazine, the emails that i still receive makes it clear that I did something right.
Well, this brought me to a cross-road. Do I continue, or do I sit back, relax, and simply reflect on this experience? And what about the car?
Well, the decision really wasn't difficult. I enjoyed the car, those that saw it at numerous car shows enjoyed it, so why not make it available to more people? So I did just that .
This is my "Last Ride", as my daughter and I travel North on I-69 in Indiana, heading for the cars "Final Resting Place".

This is where she will live out the rest of her life - at least while I still own her.

It's been a hell of a ride!
