This was my first car, a 1995 Acura Integra RS and a GS-R conversion. It has a GS-R transmission as well as a couple other GS-R modifications such as fuel injectors (obd2 connects) and the leather back seats. The engine is actually from a '98 model Honda CRV. It puts out more torque than the stock motor of the RS. It’s a B20b 2.0 liter. This is a rare swap for integras (I have seen a couple others do the same) but the whole reason for substituting an SUV motor in a car like this is to take advantage of the torque increase and make the car as light as possible.. kinda give it that crotch rocket effect. I got a lot of aftermarket parts from Corbeau, Mugen, Wilwood, Neuspeed, Apex, lots more. The look I went for is, well, black... all black. It is completely blacked out from the paint job to the wheels, tint, taillight covers, everything. Anything that is not black is carbon fiber... the carbon hood, the hood, uhh pretty much the hood.
I sold this car for $7,500 back in 2006. I bought a 1991 MR2 right afterwards which I had to drive 600 miles up to Michigan to pick up. Gotta love road trips. It was completely stock when I bought it (had an alpine head unit) and since then I have done a lot of work to it and made it look really nice. Pictures are up in my garage.
The Integra was my first car and therefore my first project which means I made all my mistakes on it. A little rigging was done here and there because I was only 16 and didn't know a whole lot about cars. But compared to most of the rigs I've seen, it really wasn't that bad. Yea I wouldn't have done some of the same things now but that's what doing your own work on your own car is all about, and I learned a lot. By the time my MR2 came around I had somewhat of a clue as to what I was doing.
Exterior is black on black...on black
Carbon Fiber/Tan interior is flawless. Top of the line racing seats from Corbeau, GSR Leather back seats, Audiobahn front component speakers, Razo shift knob and pedals, Clifford proximity sensor alarm, +++
Under the hood I got Akimoto Racing air intake, DC sports 2 piece stainless steel headers, Sport Compact Ignition, Stillen Fuel Pressure Riser, NGK Iridium spark plugs...
Also it has B&M short throw shifter with Urethane bushings, Moroso extra capacity oil pan, Exedy Chrome-molly flywheel, GSR fuel injectors with obd2 connectors, +++. No forced air.
It has the Big Brake Rotors in front as well as pads and calipers from Wilwood. The wheels are 17" gloss black DR2's from Drag Racing. Very light. Low profile tires with nice performance tread...sucks in the rain though
This car is low! I have to swerve for pebbles, it has a 23 way adjustable billet coil-over with dual helper spring setup from APEX- good shit
The wing is Type R model. Kaminari style.
GSR rear leather seat
Mugen carbon fiber hood
Very nice twin amps from MA Audio with dual fans and crossovers. The sub is 12" from Audiobahn and has a chrome Audiobahn grill. The rear tie bar is DC Sports... these things really do make a difference in handeling wow!.. invest its worth it
The body kit is polyurethane (nearly invincible material- my friend totaled his z28 but walked out of the accident without a scratch on him or the bodykit.) I got all 4 pcs. from Wings West... primered, painted, and finished them.
I bought a complete carbon fiber interior kit and a carbon remote... ah fake shit i know (do you have 3k to spend on real carbon interior?)
A got a couple emblems and stickers around the car (Mugen, Wilwood, Clifford) they add 20 hp each
And at night... two 15" blue neons on the door panels light up the front while I had to do a tricky power conversion for the 24" black light in the back.. I hate seeing wires everywhere so most of the time it took to install was hiding all the wires.. did a decent job too you can't see them unless you look real hard
