This is my 2001 Bright Rally Red Camaro V6 5-speed manual with the Y87 Performance Package. I would have gotten the Z28, but the insurance would've been close to 4 grand a year. Screw that! This is because I was 22 when I bought the car and still had some points on my license. Here are the pics I've got so far...

Best 0-60 is 5.98 seconds; best 1/4 mile time is 14.82 at 100.0 mph. I used the G-tech Pro shown below to get these numbers. Still working on a good launch without too much tire spin or wheel hop.

I used Dupli-Color clear primer and silver bumber paint for the grill.

Here are a few rear pics. I made a "V6" logo on the third brake light out of red reflective tape. I don't advise that you try this, because it took me way too long to do. You'd be better off just buying a decal from www.vinzdecals.com. I also added the neon license plate frame. It was kind of a pain to wire, but was worth the trouble. It pulses when I drive, and stays on when I apply the brakes.

I have a cut out just before my muffler. I can make the exhaust completely open, partially open, or closed by using different plates. Only cost me 40 bucks at my local muffler shop. Seems to run best with the partially open plate.

Here are a couple of pics of my custom tint job. I drew up the design on my own, and the guy at Final Shade in Lawton, OK put it on my window. He used a layer of mirror, red, and 5% to do the design. Then he sealed it with 20% which is what I have on the rear hatch.

Here's what it looks like from the inside.

I got my custom-made acrylic shift knob from Bruce Roosa at www.koolknobs.com. It looks great, but it was too long with the adapter as you can see in the pic below.

To solve this, I cut the shifter and rethreaded it. I just went to Ace Hardware and got a 16mm x 1.5 die and a hack saw for about $14. It is about 1" shorter than stock with my custom knob and about 2.5" shorter with the stock knob.

I put these bad ass pedals on recently that light up.

I had a serious need for some extra bass so I used two 10" Orion XTRs that I had lying around. I put them in a Q-Logic box that just barely fit in the back. They're pretty freakin' loud, and they're only hooked up to my stock 500 watt Monsoon system. The neon light bar goes on and off with the bass.

I also have lunar accents in my headlights. They look awesome at night and stay on all the time. Check 'em out at www.lunaraccents.com

Sylvania Silver Star headlights.

Here is a pic of my air lid mod. I shaved off the fins, and I used strips of black duct tape to make a smooth air passage straight to the MAF sensor. I kept the air silencer box to make it look completely stock from the outside. I also have a Holley Power Shot air filter, and I've done the free ram air mod.

Just bought C5 rims from Performance Wheel Outlet. 17x8.5 (front) 18x9.5 (rear) These wheels are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta MX's 245.40.17s and 275.35.18s

Did you have to change anything in the computer on your car or anything like that since you have 17" in the front and 18" in the back, the overall hight(diameter) is lower in the front. I am going to do the same thing on my camaro and I don't know what to do.

I really like all the custom work you've done, especially since you've done so much yourself. I'm struggling to come up with ideas of things to do with my 01 six to set it apart. None the less, keep it up, and let me know as you get more things done. -D-
