This is how I found her. Not real impressive but I saw potential. 305 with a 4 barrel carb. The engine had supposedly recently been rebuilt because they overheated it and blew it up. Little did I know that when they rebuilt it, they butchered the wiring harness. Every mechanic I've been to doesn't want to mess with anything electrical.

This is the result of my son's paint job done in the shop behind our house. It's not perfect but it now has that new car shine to it thanks to a lot of wet sanding, compounding and polishing efforts by my son and I. It's driver, not a show car, and the price was right.

These are my new seats from a 1999 Camaro and rear spoiler from a 1992 Trans Am. They all bolted right up with no problems.

This is how she looks now with her new shoes. 17x8 American Racing Polished Hopster's with Fulda Quantum Elite tires. 235/45 in the front and 245/45 in the rear.

Here's some shots that show it off better.

Engine modifications are minor. I replaced the stock carb with an Edelbrock Performer and a new chrome air breather.

My latest addition...killer sounds! I took out the back seat and had it replaced with two 10 inch Kicker CompVR's and a TREO amp pushing each speaker at about 250 watts. Its not a lot of power, but I was going for sound quality, style and effect, not how much bass can everybody else hear a block away.
This picture doesn't show it but the amp is mounted on a plexiglass sheet that is illuminated from underneath so only the edge lights up red at night. Also, the panel in front of the amp and the panel on the front of the installation light up red at night. When I get a good picture, I will upload it.
The basic design was my concept, but the actual finished product is the talent of Eric at Advanced Audio in Philadelphia, Mississippi. They can perform miracles.
The car was intended to be something I could drive to a car show when I went to look at other cars. I decided it turned out good enough to actually enter the show and hold its own while giving me a place to hang out with my stuff without going to the parking area.
It's turned out pretty good. I've actually entered three shows and placed in two out of three! I placed third in the Third Gen Mild class at the 2007 STARS (Southern Trans Am Regional Show) held in March 2007 in Destin FL, and second in the Pontiac Mild class at Scrapin the Coast held in June 2007 in Biloxi, MS. Not bad for a driver car.......
