This is my 1991 Firebird Formula 350. I bought the car on January 23rd 1999. It has the L98 350 with Tuned Port Injection, and the WS6 suspension package. The WS6 package consists of stiffer springs, performance shocks and struts, larger sway bars, and overall a better suspension than the base Firebird or F41 suspension. Also it has 4 wheel disc brakes, dual catalytic converters, 16" aluminum wheels, and a positraction rear axle with 3:23 gears.

"Formula Firebird is the purest essence of Pontiac performance, with a standard 5.0L V8 with EFI, and a tenacious Level III suspension. For those who subscribe to the automotive Big Bang theory of performance, both Trans Am and Formula hardtops have an available 240hp 5.7L V8 with TPI."
It's been treated to a ton of mild restoration work, a few performance mods, etc. Bone stock it pulled 14.3@98mph in the quarter. Since then the intake has been ported and polished, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator was installed, along with a throttle body airfoil, corvette aluminum distributor cover, Hotchkiss lower control arms and panhard rod in the rear, Alston Subframe connectors, etc... It rolls on BFGoodrich Comp T/A 245/50VR16's for the street, for the strip it runs 255/50ZR16 Comp T/A Drag Radials in the rear.
My to-do list is pretty long right now, other projects have gotten in the way and inavailability of parts has been a problem. I need to rebuild the tranny and replace the posi since both took some pretty serious abuse last summer.
The pics show some of the places I've driven the car... Beechbend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY for the Cyberbrawl event in 2000, the South Dakota capital building in Pierre, SD, The Strategic Air Command Museum in Nebraska, etc... It's also made some cross country trips to West Virginia and all over the midwest.
The following pics are various GM illustrations from press kits, dealership promotional materials, and so on...

Here's the newspaper ad featuring the first 5.0 Mustang I slaughtered in a full on street race. It was on a car lot about a week after we raced. He picked the race, said his car was all stock (note the March cold air intake scoop under the front bumper) I'm guessing it probably had the typical 5.0 Mustang upgrades. Sad, isn't it?
More pics and details to come in the future. Check my profile for links to my other rides... Several more fbodies and some Ford garbage.
