justcallmeac's 1982 Pontiac Firebird

Hi and welcome to my page. You'll find a little about my 82 Firebird, my motorcycle, wrestling, and other stuff I like, look around and enjoy! Feel free to hit me up on the AIM: justcallmeac

Heres my first car, a 1982 Firebird. My dad orinally purchased the car for my brother who lost interest and passed it down to me(hooray!). It had a 305 with a spun bearing, so we pulled it and dropped in a sbc 307. To give it a little umph, we added the heads from the 305 as well as an Edlebrock Performer intake manifold and a quadrajet 4 barrel carb. Threw in a Summit cam and lifters and a few other things to freshen up the engine.

And heres the engine. Small block chevy 307 with summit cam and lifters, Performer intake, 305 heads, quadrajet, all smog equipment removed, Jamex strut tower brace.

As the car came, it was in primer. A very crappy spray can primer that is.. time to sand it all off for a bright new coat of paint!

BEFORE

As I began stripping and sanding the car, I realized how ugly the antenna was. So, I ripped it out, and welded the hole shut. (above is the before)

AFTER

And heres the result.. yum, smoothness..

After finding a few small dents, they were straightened and filled. The car was pretty straight, and there was zero rust; love those Tennessee cars!

Those PMD seats turned out awsome! Did you just recover them or did you have to get the foam cushions rebuilt too? Your car is turning out awsome. It's turning platinum and Im turning green with envy. :D Good job on the car man. - bill
