For Thanksgiving we have decided to upgrade to 2002-2004 Toyota Dis Brakes added up front. With a new powerboster i wonder if this will have ABS?

Comparing the old 8" disc with the new double plate 9".The Mechanic is putting Oversized pads on the rear drums as with a half million KM's on the drums  normal pads didnt work.

I was hoping to put disc set on the rear but the mechanic was unable to get the parts needed.

NEW MOTOR UPDATE...1977Corona's 1977 Toyota Corona1977Corona's 1977 Toyota Corona
I bought a used 2.0 liter, 6 cylinder, 24 valve, twin cam Jananese motor-1G from Bangna near bangkok for 500$. I got it installed with digital fuel injection and automatic gear box here in Chanthaburi. Total installed price was 900$ Awesome. I guess the motor had 150,000 miles, best estimate. The timing belt cover had written 85,000 miles and a belt change date of october 2001. The motor is a 1994 model.

hey there its been a while since I last updated, its cause I have not done anything to the corona.I dont think Im going with the 2j anymore because Ill need to reinforce the rear end in a big way! but that don't mean im not planning anything.Im gathering parts and money for a 3s motor! I just wish I had connections over in Thailand so that I could get body panels and other little stuff.its so hard to get parts here in the states even in the junkyard! it won't be long now though in a couple of months im going to start working on it seriously.your car is looking nice by the way.laters.....

Hi, I have a the T100 '77 'rona and love it. I'm in Korat. JUst having a complete engine rebuild from the crank shell barings up. Should be silky smooth with I get it back on the road tomorrow or Monday. BTW, they called yours the front benz because of the grille. All 'ronas up to then had twin lights but yours has a grille like the W123 benz of the time, hence the name. If you are even in the neigbourhood it would be great to compare notes!

cool car sir! wicked engine too! uhm.... i just wanna ask what changes were made on the engine bay as well as the chassis parts to fit that powerful engine. i own a 1982 corona with a 12R engine and also hoping to fit it with a different engine. probably a 4agze if possible. just wanna get some idea from u before i proceed with my plans.thanks a lot!
