Just another little update- Labor Day 2009:
It's amazing what a little paint can do.

Before

After

Just a little update- I replaced the valve cover and the air cleaner with satin black painted ones just to match the exterior of the truck. Also, I found out this little tidbit of information- if you are planning to do a V8 swap in an extended cab Ranger, get a driveshaft from a truck equipped with a 4.0L V6. The U joints are bigger. Otherwise, you end up with a part that looks like this:

This is the yoke that is attached to the driveshaft after the carrier bearing. I guess the driveshaft I had in there came from a truck that had a 4 cylinder or one with a small V6, because the U joints were tiny. Luckily I still had the original shaft from my truck and swapped the yokes and the bigger U joint into it.
And here is another new pic. I had to replace the radius arms on the front of the truck and while I was at it, I had to take care of another issue that was bothering me- the stance. The truck just did not have the raked, hot rod stance that i wanted. The front actually sat higher than the rear which wasn't pimpin' and the fender well gap was huge in the front. A whiz wheel and half a coil later, I got the look I was after.

Leave me some comments and tell me what you think.
