This page is going to be for my latest round of mods.
I just installed my Dana 44 rear end and new gears. I went to 4.56 front and rear, a Detroit locker in the rear and superior 33 spline alloy shafts.
I would go with 4.88 knowing what I know now but I'm happy with 4.56.
The kennesaw mountain multicarrier is installed and looks great. www.kenmtn.com made it for me and it includes dual gas carriers, adjustable tire mount, CB antenna mount, Hi lift jack mount and 2 inch receiver.
I used one of the gas carrier mounts to strap down an OBA CO2 tank. I'll fab a perm mount for it in the future.
