SHORT THROW SHIFTER TRIAL AND ERROR

SO I recently discovered that the Nissan Frontier, the Hardbody predecessor that shares much with the hardbody, both have the Z31 300zx non-turbo tranny. This was enough for me to go forth and pay almost $100 on some off-brand one from e-bay, the only website that i could find with any at all. oddly enough... but yes, it had great fit and finish, looked great and it bolted right in. Unfortunately, it wasnt curved half way through, so I could not hit 2nd, 4th or reverse. plus, the bushing that goes into the tranny got stuck in there, so i had to use a chisel to break it out. Here's the low-down:

here it is, my old stick and my cross overs finally installed (sounds much clearer now, btw)

oh and of course, i took it back out and put the old one back in. supposedly, the body lift will make it like a short throw shifter anyways if i don't add the shifter extender. oh well, lost cause, but i think it was fun in the process anyways.

thanks for the heads up on the paint but to be quite honest its almost 10 years old and still looking good knock on wood lol and the only damage on the paint is scratches and chips from the accident from the previous owner (fender bender nothing serious) The LED strip was actually real easy just center it in the back board run the positive to the door switch or auxilary one and bolt the rest of them into the stock ground plate for the dome light. its just getting the headliner out is a bitch and a half (i found that its easiest to take the front seats out)

thanks for the comments man. I love the black on black. im actually going to redo them sometime when it gets warmer. everytime i hit the trails they been getting scuffed up so im gonna strip them down and repaint them and put an extra layer of primer on them so the paint sticks better
