RIMS n WHEELS n LIFT n SHIT

SO FAR...

I havent been able to complete this YET... but i do know for a fact that i can squeeze some 6 lugs onto this baby (from a GM truck) and so i bought some. theyre the stockers off of a GMC Sierra Z71, bought them from this marine guy stationed at K-bay for a little less than $400 (didnt exactly bring all 400 with me, i wish i had cause this guy's arms were HUGE) then i just painted them over turkey day weekend after I woke up at 6 am for the 2nd time in a year. With only spending $20 in paint, instead of $200 in powder coating, i think i came out OK.

here, you can see that I started priming. sure the aluminum was cool and all, but graphite... yeah i wish i could get some NISMO wheels but you cant have it all.

turned out pretty amazing... especially for only 20 bucks in spray cans. Dupli-Color is some great stuff.

3" AC BODY LIFT SOON!!!!!!!!!!

it just came in the mail, ill post a pic of it soon. Seems too complicated for me to do on my own, plus as you can see my driveway is much too small and sloped. My last house, when my dad was going to the war college in Alabama to be promoted to Colonel we were renting out a one story house with a driveway big enough to fit 6 cars in it.

but anyways this is the link to what my body lift looks like.

UPDATE 6/26

OK so i threw on the lift a while ago, and total came out to like a grand including labor, parts and shipping... more than twice of what i thought it would cost. The wheels and tires I got are 16" wheels/ 31" BFG A/Ts. It rubs a little when i have the steering wheel almost all the way over... whatever. not that big of a setback really. About the same turning radious now as the new re-designed frontiers.

anyways, they are great. havent driven them too much since gas costs a little more than i would like it to. Plus i went to Europe and spent all my checking account's worth (and a little more). But anyways, i re-painted my wheels since they were chipping like mad so i just sprayed them with an assload of primer (inside too this time, there was some rust...)but they actually came out pretty good. better looking than i expected.

as you can see, there is a pretty significant difference between 27s and 31s... that tire i'm holding with my hairy-assed arm is now my spare tire.  My orignal spare weighs more, looks like shit, and is less than half the width of my other 4 stockers.  plus it was flat as could be.

thanks for the heads up on the paint but to be quite honest its almost 10 years old and still looking good knock on wood lol and the only damage on the paint is scratches and chips from the accident from the previous owner (fender bender nothing serious) The LED strip was actually real easy just center it in the back board run the positive to the door switch or auxilary one and bolt the rest of them into the stock ground plate for the dome light. its just getting the headliner out is a bitch and a half (i found that its easiest to take the front seats out)

thanks for the comments man. I love the black on black. im actually going to redo them sometime when it gets warmer. everytime i hit the trails they been getting scuffed up so im gonna strip them down and repaint them and put an extra layer of primer on them so the paint sticks better
