OK so here's my page. This truck has changed little compared to some people's rides on this site, but of course I work part time at a drug store so my other hobbies tend to eat up some of a good majority of my cash. This year i was setting out to do wheels and tires, actually since last year... and i decided i wanted a more aggressive look than lowering it (and keep it a truck, not make it into a car) so i got a 3" body lift. Unfortunately, the 3" lift required welding (not much, but i cant weld)and the wheels needed adapters to fit over the front hubs... so i got some 2" ones and this is how it came out...

here is the best shot i took so far after the new wheels n tires. basically I love it, i mean i kinda want to lift it more now, but other things need to happen first. like get some money in my damn checking account. but this is good.

UPDATE

Today is the 4th of August, and just now i got around to finally go 'wheelin with my new wheels and tires... finally...

I unfortunately DID NOT take any pics on the trail because basically I was just so stoked I was there plus the cliff on one side was not the best feeling in the world. But hey, i got some pics at my friend's house, which happens to be between Ka'ena point and my house...

Spent a good 2.5 hours washin, waxin, and cleanin up some on the inside.  REALLY needed the wax, plus theres some spots that the paint is starting to come off even more.  its pissing me off.  OH and this was on August 18th 08.  which pic looks better out of the bottom 2?  i think both are pretty cool.

Finally got my Weapon-R Cold Air Intake in the mail and slapped it in... and it works.  engine doesn't feel as bogged down and the truck doesn't shake when i come close to the stalling point in 1st gear (if i ever hit it)

after a good solid, well about week now, I am overall happy with this purchase.  Driving in traffic is easier, for some reason its easier to drive smoothly and hit the clutch just right going through the gears...

and if you were to look more closely at the hood, right below the air filter, you can see a line of grey.  That line is bare metal... also, the sides of the hood had very little paint on them and the touch-up paint is coming off.  I think on Friday I may end up getting some primer and shooting all the spots that have paint coming off, THEN use the touch-up paint.  maybe it will stay longer.

i just wish Nissan put a little mroe effort into their paint.  That, and every company should have a good selection of aftermarket products for these trucks!!!

OK so I need to make a new UPDATE... 22 November 08

My sub made this terrible sound, like this high-pitched hum and it was going on even when my engine wasn't on.  Took it to Professional Car Audio in Waipahu and the cool guy I talked to first came out and had a look.  He said he has a lot of people come in with problems with their lower-end Pioneer Premier HUs and that loud pop frim my mids when they get power was NOT normal... plus that POS amp, the Phonics Digital one pushing my sub, had a channel that didn't work too.  Now everything works better than before with my new Alpine HU and Directed Audio amp.  Sure its not a popular name brand, but its made by one.  I would post pics, but its raining today, I worked till 8 PM yesterday just getting everything right and the drill bits i waited in traffic for 45 minutes round trip so that i could mount the amp both snapped on the second hole.

That is the Driver's seat.  attached by 4 14-mm bolts, it comes off rather easily.  like most of the parts that aren't supposed to on the VW beetle on the right.

This amp sucks.  Although, i will admit, the blue light included with it is kinda cool at night.  if only you could see it from under the seat.

This is the pedal set I bought, custom made and cost me nearly $200 all said and done.  Getting Nismo put on them was almost worth it too.  OK sure, there's glue all over the brake pedal, but that's going to get scraped off soon.  plus, its that expanding glue thats basically a knock off of gorilla glue, and made by elmers.  Nano I think it was called.  I should probably get those gobs of glue in the holes, as seen on the brake pedal (middle) someday.  I also realize that the brake pedal cover here is kinda crooked, but i fixed it.

Here's when i put in the Dynamat door kit.

Unfortunately, i forgot to factor in the whole part about where the little rods that are moved by the levers for locking and opening the door would get covered with all that thick goop on the back of the dynamat sheets... it isn't so bad now but it still takes extra effort to make sure the door is unlocked.  good thing they aren't power locks, eh?  oh and here's a picture of my sister's car, since it started raining while I was doing the dynamat job (in my garage, it looked like it was gonna pour again).

21 February Update:

OK so I put the tonneau cover back on, with the idea that maybe it'll save me some cash by increasing my gas mileage a bit.  Sure, gas is like half of what it was in the summer and lower than when i first got this truck and had to fill it up myself... but money is money.  Plus when you buy gas, most of the money goes to those crazy Saudi Arabians.  The ones that pay around 50 cents a gallon.

Oh and I decided to get some Alpine 6x9s, using those two extra channels on my Fusion amp and it really helps give a more full sound since it doesn't only come from the front speakers now.  Also, the new sub amp is good, since it works!  No more using the subwoofer as a mid-range speaker, too.  Now I have pictures.  Wish I could go off-roading more often.
