1970 Volvo 142s. Someone several years ago wanted this thing to go fast.
I got it with a Weber 32/36 DGAV mated to a mildly warm B20B/Isky cam/Steel Gears & older 2" exhaust system; I guess from IPD back in the day.
The PO was a cool guy but not clued in. A vintage freak with none of the requisite understanding.
it was going to be free, wouldn't idle & had oil in the coolant. The the downpipe was apparently not connected all the way to the manifold. Nice sounds. It was 300 miles away. Someone wanted it for parts, so I forked over a few hundred and had a harrowing trip on the way home.
Secretly I wanted it for parts for my self-destructive '66 122s, but I fell in love on that drive.
