New Motor from Port City Machine from Oswego, NY. Fully Blown, Blue Printed & balanced and ready to go. This beast contains everything on a new world block from the 4340 crank, H-Rods, JE Pistons, Crower Cam, and AFR Heads, 60lb injectors and a Rattler Harmonic balancer. I opted to use a timing belt over a gear drive or a double roller and chain. Finally had an experienced builder do it right the 1st time. Ordered the 4" exhaust from Mufflex with Spin-tech exhaust today. Full Cost of what you see on the right exceeds $10,000 as of now. And no chrome doesn't make it go faster but it sure looks good.
This is another picture of the back of the new motor. I found a few gliches trying to get the right flywheel. It is alot harder to find an internally balanced flexplate than I initially thought. The new valve covers had to be taller so I could install valve girdles to ensure the valve an main girdles wouldn't bind. The new custom built TPIS miniram was returned from Jetcoating with the red power coat.
These are the new heads. They are from AIR FLOW RESEARCH. They are 210 75cc CNC heads. I had them bench flowed once they arrived to ensure they were 100% ready to install. Had to ensure the dual valve springs were compatible to use with the crower blower cam.
This is a 58mm throttle body from BBK. You can see the Red 10,000 R.P.M. Nitrous Plate between the Throttle Body and the Intake Plenum. This took a little modification of the throttle plate and TV Cable. I added the TPIS throttle body plate for appearance.
At 1st I didn't know if I wanted to get a S/C or turbo. I couldn't make up my mind between the DS1C procharger or Vortech. I heard about bad things about Paxton's having bearing issues. After 2 months of pro's and con's, I went with the Vortech S/C because procharger wouldn't revamp it to ensure I would get 18+ lbs of boost. I had the Vortech send this to me once they reworked it. I was told I could just change the pulley's but I was already informed that I would shred the S/C and at $3600 a piece. NO THANKS!!! Now I am already running more than 18 lbs of boost. When will this sickness stop!!!!
I need to get all the (N2O) Nitrous Oxide Solenoids checked 1 last time before installation. I have been asked why I haven't bought new ZEX solenoids, I figured as long as they still look decent and work, What's the sense?
I modified the Transmission lines and put -6 an lines all the way to the transmission. This has a real clean appearance and gets rid of the old nasty steel lines. And Stopped my mysterious transmission line leak.
