Bought: Jan, 2005

I waited a long time to own a Corvette. Now I'm taking my time replacing little by little anything that needs it. Mainly the weather stripping and cosmetic improvments. The guy I bought it from is as much a car guy as I am. The first thing he asked me about was did I have a garage to keep it in. Thats when I knew he was a true Vette guy and that the car was well kept all its life. The car has been garage kept since it was new and that's where I keep it too. It's never had a water spot on her finish. It had 54,000 miles on it when I got the car in Jan. 06 and it's a strong solid running car. I take it to show & shine events and even have won a couple of awards. One for "Best Corvette" and one for best car in show "1980 to 2006". Sure these were local small shows, but heck I never expect to win anything, this is my grocery getting daily driver. In October of 06 I drove all the way to Titusville Florida for the Eckler's 27th Corvette reunion. I entered the 'F' Original class and took 3rd place. And there is nothing like the feeling of walking up on a stage to receive a plaque or a trophy for your Vette being recognized by a group of judges.
I finally made my way to Bowling Green to the National Corvette Museum and the near by Corvette assembly plant.
In Mobile on the way to Titusville Florida. Lafayette, Louisiana 2006
New Iberia, Louisiana 2007 Peoples Choice 80s
The day I got her, January 6, 2005...That smile was on my face for a week.
The first thing I did was install the wook dash kit.
Below are the judges that awqrded this Third Place in the Original 'F' class at the Ecklers 06 annual Corvette reunion show. The first national event I put her in. I know Michele was smiling down on me that, and every day.

How embarrissing for the Ford guys. This is a top 20 people's choice at a Mustang Club open car show.
Daytona Speedway during the trip to Eckler's in Titusville Fla.
Just had to clean up & paint my calipers to round out the new wheel look.
... :-)
New Paint job after 20 years.
