The story is... this truck was purchased the year I was born (1976) and in around 82 it was stolen, left for dead, my dad moved on only to be surprised over a year later that the cops had found it stripped down in an alley in L.A. my dad was able to put most of the parts back on it and had used it for delivering bread from his bakery for about 7 years. befor I got my hands on it it had been sitting in a lot at the local mechanics shop for about 3years because it needed a motor and my dad didn't really want to spend the money on it so he had them drop a motor in it and he passed it on to me, they put a dinky 1.8l engine in it. It was a mess...see pics. so now.. my plans are to put a Ford 5.0 or a Chevy 350 small block in it and soop it up for fun, hey..maybe some day i can pass it along to My Son ;) Before.... During....

Hi Jorge! I couldn’t help but note that you have a 1974 Ford courier... I bought one brand new in 1977 it was actually a 1976 year model. I had a love affair with mine for about the first 2 years. then I decided to put a 1976 2.8 Capri V-6 with the capri 4 speed trans bolted up to it. I just hated to alter the drive train of the courier BUT.. I couldn’t deal with the lack of power that the original 1.8 4-cy had to offer, so thus, I installed to v-6. I had had the truck until about 1980 and then I traded it in for Jeep Cj_5 and lost track of the 1976 ford courier. I found another later on it was a 1972 that I painted and restored for a small price of $500. it was in pretty good shape, but I just had to sell it because I had other interest. then in 1994 I found this red 1974 in Woodland hills Ca. I rekindled my love once again with the old ford courier for a time. and then in 1995 I said good by to that one. I’m now looking at them from a distance as you can see! yours looks very nice and I must say you have got some real patients with that particular truck. She looks very nice and I miss my old pal allot! good luck and keep up the good work she looks sweet!! Sincerely Don Rosenthal Lakewood Ca. dkrosenthal1954@peoplepc.com
