This is my 1993 GMC Tyhpoon. For those that dont know, these are rare trucks. This is not just a Blazer with a body kit and wheels. GMC started with the Syclone (like an S-10 pickup) in 1991, and made the Typhoon in 1992 and 1993. The Syclone and Typhoon shared the same special drivetrain. The Syclones were typically quicker than the Typhoons due to their reduced weight.
The difference between these trucks and a regular S-10 or Blazer is not just the looks. These trucks had a 4.3 liter V6 but they have the addition of a turbocharger, an intercooler, and full time all wheel drive. In stock form, the turbo produced 14.7 pounds of boost through an air-to-water intercooler. Typhoons are reported to be in the very low 5 second range for 0-60 mph, and they have an under-rated 289 horsepower and 360 ft-lbs of torque. The Typhoons were fully loaded, with leather interior. The only options available (to my knowledge) were a roof rack, CD player and a sunroof. Otherwise they are all pretty much the same.
