Current Modifications
CP-E CAI
What an awesome sound. This was basically my first mod. Performance gains are significant, but it was the incredible sucking sound of the CAI that really changes the driving experience. Oh and do not forget the Injen hydroshield. There is no substantial difference in airflow with it installed, and it does work; i held it under a running faucet for a minute and no water got through. It gives me piece of mind.

CP-E 3 inch Cat-Back Exhaust System It's not that loud - don't believe the hype - though it hardly has a muffler. If you are 35 or under, you shouldn't have a problem with it. It gives the Speed6 the gruff sound it deserves - I don't want it to be sleeper. The real reason to get the CP-E exhaust is because it produces the most power. Up to an additional 50 ft/pounds of torque at its max. Thank you CP-E.
oh and thanks seoulful for this video clip.

TWM Weighted Flat Black Shift Knob This knob matches the interior perfectly. It is 100 grams heavier than the OEM knob and makes shifting about 20% easier.

Hardwired Beltronics RX65 Radar Detector The best radar detector on the market. Read about it at radarbusters.com

Hardwired Blinder M20 Laser Jammer "Become Invisible!" Yeah i hope so. Damn this was a hard install. I did it with the help of a guy from Circuit City. Took 4 hours. Installed the on/off button in the cigarette lighter. Man is it slick. Looks totally stock on the inside. Put the laser jammers behind the grill and dremelled out a few grill slots. Cops would never ever know i had a laser jammer installed unless they got down on their knees and looked into the grill. Pics to come.
Here's the video that convinced me.
Removeable Tinted Side Markers A great mod. It makes the car look much meaner. They are cheap and easy to remove, and I have had absolutely no problem with them staying in place even during long drives and hard rains.

Konig Trouble Rims
I know there are lots out there with these particular wheels. Still, people comment about them more than anything else. The Mazdaspeed has big brakes, so the rims don't make the wheels look hollow. Also, the biggest advantage of the rims is that they couple a bright chrome-esque look with gun metal colored edges that dont show brake dust. They are not the highest quality rims and road feel is slightly diminished, so if you can afford a set of $350 a piece Gram Lites, i say go for it.
Race Gas - High Octane. I am running a mixture of 93 Octane and 104 Octane VP Racing Fuel. On race gas the car is a total beast. It's expensive, but worth it if you don't drive too much.
VP Racing Fuels
Royal Purple Synthetic Motor Oil. I run Royal Purple Synthetic Oil because I believe that it is superior and does produce more horsepower.
Royal Purple 10hp Vid
All Weather Floor Matts. I'm gonna leave them in year round.

MazdaSpeed Head Pillows and Seat Belt Pads. Ebay Specials. I only have them in the back seat and passengers seem to like them.

Painted Calipers - G2 Caliper Paint is the best and very easy to use. Be sure to sand the calipers well before application.

Japanese Air freshener: CS-X3 (squash scent).
It sounds crazy, but these are great and available on ebay. I store mine in my map pocket.
Leather Interior: (not super high quality - but i hope that with proper maintenance it will last).
HID Headlights
I've never had them before, but i'll never not have them again - they are that much of an improvement.
Understanding Xenon Lights
Replaced Map and Door lights with Blue LEDs. One of the Led's blew when I was installing it in the door. Smoke and everything. Thought I lit my baby on fire. But this is the best and cheapest mod I have ever made. Calming blue...but not too dark to read by them at night. Also, with tinted windows it doesn't look intensely blue from outside the car, so no fear of being pulled over. FYI: it's illegal to have blue or red lights on a car because you look like the cops or emergency vehicles.

understanding LEDs
Just ordered them -
#1 Mazda LED Vendor
Tinting
35% Tinted Side Windows / 20% Back Window (visibility does suffer some at night, but it's worth it...unless I crash)
Wash & Wax
After months of wash and wax obsession I can honestly say that nothing beats zaino. Not available in stores.
Expensive but Worth It

Finally got around to powder coating the stock rims white. They are now my winter tires. I put a set of pirelli sottozeros on them.
what is powder coating?

Installed the scanguage trip computer/scan tool in the formerly useless drop down sun glass holder; it was too small for sunglasses but just the right size for the scangauge. Learn more here.

I also purchased a car bra for long road trips. Might not look good on most colors, but it works with red.

And there will be more.
Here's a video of a speed6 versus a Supercharged 425 hp mustang. Enjoy!
P.S. Those bragging right numbers aren't mine. Here in New England there are not many tracks. Other MazdaSpeed6 owners have put up those numbers...and I'm proud to claim that they are possible with my car. If anything, HP and Torque numbers of 300+ at the crank are underestimated with a few bolt on mods.
