The truck is a 1997 Sierra. So far the things that I have done to it have been 2.5" True Dual 40 Series Flowmaster back to 3" chrome tips. Just added a K&N intake which I'll have a picture soon of. Also just installed Lakewood traction bars I have Euro tails and Bremen bumper to bumper running boards. Also have street glow neon under it which I just posted pics of. Just got my 8 piece clear headlight kit from ckresto.com that I'll be putting on this weekend. The truck has a 5.7L Vortec. This truck well get up and run.

the long tube headers are custom made from hooker i never put them on seeing as i got the 502 but i have them for sale if u want them they do not compare with shorties u dont get the flow of full length or the sound each pipe is 2-1/2 inch and they flow into 3 inch collectors they are ceramic coated so they are the best coating u can get they do not change color when they get hot and they dont rust i have the gaskets and head bolts for them also the ceramic also gives u 6-9 extra horsepower over any non ceramic coated header because they dissipate heat 50% better and the tubes are all mendrel bent

Nice lookin' truck! Here's where I got my tips. They're the middle ones, 14" long w/3.5" outlet. The exhaust shop cut off the clamp end.

A couple words on cutouts... Mine rotates open and close and as such, is subject to minor leakage. There is a type that slides open and close which should eliminate that problem (but significantly more expensive). As far as where to mount it, mine is mounted after the cats. Where you mount yours is up to you. If you want to be as legal as possible, I suggest the same. My truck is set up with a driver and passenger side cat. Installing two electric cutouts in place of the cats would be both expensive and tricky (re: the timing). You will lose some torque due to lack of backpressure. In essense, the cutout is good for top end and making obnoxious amounts of noise. Place it right before your muffler. Have fun!
