It's stock on the outside, only getting a turbo timer and boost pressure chip installed for now until I decide what I will use the Fortuner for. I'll probably stick to minor mods like a brushguards on the front (is that what they are called in English?), upgrade the rims to 18s, maybe 19s but not any larger because I still have to actually go on rocky trails to get to the farm. Maybe paint the lower front lip center to a brush metal colour.
So this is still a work in progress. I hope to turn this into something that's both equally elegant on dirt trails and on city streets. For actual real heavy-duty off-roading, I already have a '96 4Runner and a 2003 Hilux.
Finding actual upgrade parts here has been rather difficult because this is a new model, and some of the mods for the Hilux do not fit. I can't find anyone who carries anything for trucks or SUVs that are performance rated, just regular parts. I guess I will have to import from Asia. Importing from US/Canada might be a no go because I would have no way of knowing if the parts work for a Fortuner, as Toyota will not be introducing it to North America. Thus the probably lack of interest in developing parts for it.

Quick History Built on the Hilux chassis, the Fortuner was introduced in 2005 in parts of Asia as part of that IMV project Toyota talked about a while back. And now here's the new successor to the 4Runner, or rather, the 4Runner moved up the rungs and left a gaping hole, so I suppose this is Toyota's answer to fill in the gap.
