Well, the latest updates are DONE!! Over the winter I purchased and have now installed the GT500 front end and the TruFiber Venom hood. While it was at the painter, I also replaced my dual white 8" vinyl stripes with new, 10" Competition White painted ones. I think the results speak for themselves.
I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the modifications and couldnt be happier. Next in line for modification is to lower the car with new FRRP springs, Koni Adjustable shocks and a panhard bar, which I am planning on early this summer. Enjoy and tell me what you think.

While that was being done I also did a mod that put my windshield sprayers directly on to the wiper arms so I didnt have to mess up my newly painted hood with ugly sprayers. Also, when I switched to a fiberglass hood, I thought I had to return to using the stock hood prop to have the hood up to see the engine or work on it. I recently found out that NXT makes a hood shock kit for aftermarket Trufiber venom hoods that allows you to use the shocks again, looks stock, and does not harm the hood in any way. I painted the brackets when I recieved them and have now mounted them on the car as well. The kit is extremely well made and nice looking and I consider it yet another great mod to the car. While I did this I had purchased some rear sequential tail light harnesses as well from a place called Webelectrics. It allows you to remove the stock wiring harness at the rear of the car and replace it with one that looks exactly the same but makes the turn signals and brake lights now light up (instead of just all at once) one bar at a time. This is totally like mustangs of old use to do (as well as the new 2010's). So even though its a mod I cant see typically since I am the only one who drives the car, I'm very pleased with this modification as well since it adds one more cool but small tweak to the car that looks so nice.
I also decided that I didn't really like the stock shift knob on the car so I instead purchased a new Hurst 'styled' shift knob and installed it on the replaced MGW arm to match up with the changed threads. Here is a picture showing what it looks like now.

Here is a pics of one of my favorte modification to the interior. The Homelink system, which is installed now in most cars, isnt in the Mustang GT. It can be used to control up to three remote control devices, like your garage door as well as gates in a gated community or just multiple garage doors. I decided I was going to fix this issue by installing my own and making it look as stock as possible. The front "plate" goes on top of whatever surface you put it on, with the rest of it behind (or underneath). The picture on the left is what it looked like when I received it, and the one on the right is it installed and working. BTW, the lights are not dimmer on the console. It looks that way due to the flash from the camera.

Here is the first picture of what I started with....a totally stock 2006 Mustang GT Vista Blue in color. I have leather interior, a shaker 1000 audio system and a 5 speed manual V-8. The next picture is as it is at the moment with all the current modifications.

I took these pics the first sunny day after I bought it. I had to do alot of searching through dealers to find my GT, since evidently finding one that was the particular combination I wanted is either a unique combination or the most popular since I had to go 120 miles away to find the requested options. Initially, I did not want the "Bullet" style chrome wheels, but after seeing this at the dealer, I decided I liked them alot better than I thought I would.

One of the things I was also pursuing for my Mustang to have was I wanted the upgraded sound system (the Shaker 1000). The dealer did make me laugh when he warned me that it would take up 30% of the trunk space. Since this is just a weekend car for my wife and I to enjoy, space is just about the least of my concerns.
