My first ride was a 1972 Ford LTD with a 1971 400 CID engine. I know this because I purchased the car for $25 and the downer car for $100 because the original had its engine stripped. Being Wisconsin autos all were rust in the wind. Fun cars with power and comfort. Poor handling, but who in the old Big Three handled we. Thanks for the post. Always wanted a 71 or 72 LTD rag top.

You've done a great job with your LTD. Do you have a resource for obtaining parts for her? I just picked up one and she needs a lot of work. Paid 3500.00 and she needs complete restoration, probably will take 5 - 6 K to get her ready to cruise. Anyway your car looks Great!!!
