1999 Pontiac Trans Am
**~~//UPDATE June 10, 2007\\~~**
My motor did pop a while back, but we are in the process of building a new motor and transmission for it. We finally concluded what led to my rod breaking in half and shooting through both sides of my block. After tearing down the motor, there was a unique ring around the top of the the #2 piston, which means someone had to put something down my intake and upon start up sucked it in and broke the rod and piston. A tragic thing, but now I've got room to make improvements to make the car all that more potent.

Before we get ahead of ourselves and start saying what it can or can't do let me set the story straight before you even hit the "I don't like it button". This car has a salvage rebuilt title meaning its been in a collision. This car will more than likely be the final car me and my grandpa will ever put together due to him being old and not really able to do much anymore. We have a massive body shop, complete with every tool under the sun and a frame machine so wrecked cars arent anything to us in terms of fixing right back to normal.
Now that we have that part of the story out of the way heres a little about the trans am...
It was a 1 owner car, man had it for 6 years and 1 month before it was totalled. Suprisingly no rust for being a beach car, and he seems to have kept up with it fairly well, a few dirty spots inside but to be expected. We got the car for $3,100, 3,409 with the buyers fee. So obviously we got it fairly cheap and now its time for the run down...
