My late production 2002 Mercedes-Benz G500 (aka G-wagon). It's black on black and looks pretty sweet! It drives like a tank but has a lot of power - same engine as the SL 500. I have taken it offroad a few times, but it handles a lot differently than my F-250 4x4 pickup. It has a lot of stuff I dont care about like Navigation and some of the other electronic nonsense. The premium sound system is OK but not what I would expect from a vehicle that cost as much as this thing did. I have had a number of Mercedes and I am a little disappointed with the quirky things that keep going wrong. All are electronic/computer related. I guess I should have waited a year because I read that MB scrapped a lot of the computer systems and worked out a lot of the bugs for the 2003 model year. A friend of mine has a 2003 and he hasn't had a lick of trouble with it. Anyway, here it is...
I know, the engine compartment needs a good detailing!
