I'll have to say I think the 69 LTD is the best LTD ever. It looks good all over. I love the design; how the front flows into the middle and the middle flows to the back.
Its fantastic! Look at the extreme angle on the front fenders,
mmmm....tasty! Whoever was in charge of design style when this car was made should have been around longer. Originally this car was not so exciting. Once in a while you would notice a glimmer of what could be. That's why when my mom was finished with it and I got a job it became mine.

I spent around 4 years making this thing so good; actually I have a hard time staying motivated and it cost a lot and I'm a lazy procrastinating monkey. At least thats what my bodyshop teacher would tell you. He's mostly right, I'm not really a monkey but I'm sure you know that because monkeys cant type as good as people.

My dad told and showed me how to deal with the motor and ball joints and whatever mechanical thing it needed. Before this car all I could do with cars was routine maitenance and break things. If my dad wasn't around this car would run like the other LTD's on this site, just joking!; I'm sure everyone elses cars are just as good but I'm still very proud of how good it goes. And my shop teacher wild man Garcia helped me out a lot with the bodywork even though I didnt' get the car done before graduation. He probly thinks the car never got finished. I'll find him someday and he will be amazed, maybe. And then several other place's did several other things that cost several other dollars. Plus the wheels, do you like them? I like them, I've never seen another set. I like to think of them as rare, or maybe thier ugly and I'm blind.
I'm kinda going overkill with the pictures but thats ok right?

These are some pictures of the car at school,

I wish I would have taken some more pictures of the car while it was torn apart. As far as I could tell the whole section of car behind the rear window is from a different car. You can see welds on the frame underneath the car and that large amount of bondo below the window and roofline is where the split was.

Whoever did the previous repair Made tack welds with brazing copper stuff every 3 inches or so. Inbetween the tacks was held together with bondo. The two sections were overlapped 2 inches, the overlap was a good place for moisture to hang out. you should have seen the rust! When I sanded through the paint the bondo practically fell off. I still have the first piece that came off just with a screwdriver. Im really suprised how well the disaster area turned out. I rewelded the the split with a solid bead and piled up the bondo. This was probably the reason I didn't get the car finished at school, I spent weeks messing around with that stupid thing. Here's a picture of my motor just hangin out in the garage.

I bought those headers on Ebay from some bonehead that said they should fit my car. And lazy me didn't do any research until after we tried to insert the motor. They fit trucks!!!! I sandblasted those farts and very carefully painted them with several layers of high temp paint. Don't believe anyone on Ebay! Here are a couple pics of engine installed, with custom built headers that cost a lot more than I expected. I still need to get them coated with ceramic stuff.

Here are some nice Fall pictures.

Check out these flames! Oooo.. Ahhh! You really have to hear these things. They sound amazing! They are great at car shows and cruises we've gone to. People love them. I will take another picture of them during warm weather. For some reason the cold seems too make them short fat and very sparky. Several times last summer at friends house's they were taller than the trunk. Also they burn blue if lean mixture is fired!
