This is my '96 MX-6 RS 2.0L 5spd....These are just my first 4 pics im adding for now, the dark one is the car the night i bought it with the smashed front bumper...the previous owner hit a "Family" of raccoons crossing a dark road, the second pic is the next day when i took off the broke body work and the 3rd pic is what the car looked like before the hood flew off on the freeway shattering against the front of a semi, i put back on the factory front bumper and temp. painted the aftermarket side skirts with a rattle can, but they need some work so i dont feel bad since i have to take them all the way down and smooth them out anyways. You can see I know have a pretty nice Ebruni hood that i got on eBay for $100 total including shipping, this spring the whole ride is getting painted and im currently looking for a nice set of 16" rims if anyone has any for sale.

Let me know what you think drop me a note with any advice since this is my first MX-6

UPDATE: Since buying the car I have put a new engine and transmition out of a '96 Probe in the car, a new clutch, halfshafts and shocks on the car. I also had a custom exhaust bent for the car by a hotrod shop back home, they did a great job and it has an awsome sound for a 4cyl. I have fixed most all the little tinny issues like the after market lights having the wires just thrown in, some bad grounds and the huge holes in the rear deck lid. As of right now the car still needs some interior work such as the hold in the dash where the pass. sife airbag was needs to be covered with something. The previouse owner took it out to put in a PS2 and of course that didn't come with the car. The car could use a paint job and it needs a new alt. belt now, it just squeeks when you start the car. Its a good car but now im looking to sell her and get something rear wheel drive and hopefully a good american V-8 that i can work on with my son. If any knows anybody looking for a good little Mazda let me know.

yeah dude im on there with the same name as i have on here. and yeah those diy tutorials n stuff have been real helpful. ive learned alot from there and everyone on there is great. whats ur opinion on a cai vs stock intake... i read a thread on mx6.com saying that the stock intake pulls air from outside the car enough and putting a cai in with metal tubing is actually worse beacause the tubing heats up and heats the air, but im not sure...

thanks man. right now im just doing little stuff until i can save some money for bigger mods. i really have to think about some stuff cuz i wanna do a transmission swap from atx to mtx but i have to think about the long term benefits and if im keeping it for that long n all that. i also see people doing the klze swap alot and yeah.. but for now just visual stuff and some rims and maybe lower it. what about you?
