Sry for the bad pics right now, they are mostly taken with my phone.
I drive a 1991 Hatchback Automatic 5.0 that i bought from my uncle 2 years ago for $3500.00. Up till now i have only fixed minor things, rebuilt the transmission, and put a new drivers side floorpan in. It may not be much but it means alot to me cause my uncle always had plans for it and didnt want to sell it but he sold it to me cause hes a great uncle. I just wanna build it for him because deep down i just wanna do it for him and show him how nice it could be and that it didnt just go to waste. It just went passed the 70,000 mile mark a few days ago.
OK, heres the deal, ive worked my ass off to get my car done without anyone knowing. The reason is because my uncle who originally had the car, his wedding is comming up on october 21st. He still thinks it looks like it did the day he sold it to me. He has no idea its any different. I did all this so i could secretly drive the car 4 hours away to his wedding and suprise him with the car since he never had the chance to make it nice even though that was his goal. I still have a few more things to finish like put in the new smoked headlights, smoke the tail lights, put the new rear shocks on, put the new spring isolators on, and paint the trim around the front/back/quarter windows and put the new black door handles on. I have 3 days to complete all of this.
***** I took the car up to his wedding and he was very suprised and was very happy to see the car. He loved what it looked like. I let him drive it and i dont think he could have been happier to drive his old car. It turned ou better than i expected!

This is the way my car looked at first
In these pics i was in the process of putting basically a whole new front end on the car to get it ready for paint. My freind andrew put alot of hours in to help me. Thanks buddy! We put a new right front fender and new front bumper on but it wasnt as easy as it looks. We also sanded the whole car down and did alot of body work. Here are some pics!
On October 9th 2006 i got it painted snow white. Here are some pics of how it looked when i got it home after paint. Some of the trim is not on the car yet and the hood isnt lined up in these pics but that is all done now. Also the window trim hasnt been repainted black yet.
On October 13th i had Dr. Tint put on 5% tint. I also put the side moldings on, Painted the trim around the drivers and passenger window and ordered smoked euro headlights and new spring isolators for the front and back. Sry though i wont have pics until tomorrow.
On october 14th i went to mason dixon dragway to see what the ol rustang could muster. I was quite suprised at what she ran being basically stock! My first run was a bad 15.015@95mph with a 2.275 60 ft. My 2nd run was a better 14.968@95mph with a 2.248 60ft. And my last run was a pretty good 14.736@94mph with a 2.156 60 ft. I KNOW i can get to 14.5 easily next time i go. Now keep in mind that this is with a catback and h pipe aod car with crappy off brand tires. Id say thats a good time!!!
Got my spring isolators and smoked euro headlights on. Also installed my rear KYB GR2 shocks, which made a huge difference in the ride quality. Here are some pics. (BTW the new spring isolators raised the car about 1/4-1/2 inch.)
