ROB'S FIERO'S - Saga of the Poor Man's Ferrari
The 2 Fiero's are now History Accident Pictures are on page 4 - They were legaly parked on my street when they
were totaled by a Toyota Camry
Image stolen from SouthernExpoSign@aol.com ... Well borrowed, I did buy the decal and placed them on my lower quarter panel.

Below:
Day One: Before cleanup / The car had great bones and was all in all in rather good condition for a 1984 Fiero It just needed a lot of TLC.

/ Before Cleanup
I bought this car complete with a yellowed paint job with mold on it.. So after many hours of clean up and detailing the vehicle as well as rattle can painting the hood, trunk and roof, I soon found the car to be looking closer to something I wanted o drive ... Soon came decals, and then I was hooked .... Fiero ...Fiero... Fiero,

For those of you who have asked where
I get my decals :
I have bought many Decals for these vehicles and have come to the conclusion that you have to be careful who you deal with .. The best Decals come from Southern Exposure Signs and Graphics : SouthernExpoSign@aol.com , They will do special order items and are great to deal with and none of their Decals that I put on crinkled or got air bubbles in them when applied.

I have restored a Mercedes 450sl and it was nothing to the feel of a Fiero on the open highway... and both Fiero's I have cost me as much as a muffler job did on the Mercedes. I love the notchback model over the GT because the GT looks like so many other cars ... but the SE is exotic,
different, and I don't like deckwings they seems to make Fiero's look dated unless you get the really huge ones and go for a customized look.

If you ever have a chance to pick up a Fiero at a resonable price .. do so, you will enjoy the ride. And they can be picked up for a song and dance - They are great cars and very safe. and
very cheap to work on and get parts for.
This car (Automatic) has 86.000 miles on it
my other Fiero (The 85 SE 5 speed) has only 62,000 miles on it.
The deals are out there, even on eBay you can find them.

Fiero 4 Cyl Automatic. (Great on Gas)
V-6 for those of you who need to travel
at High Speed - or a V-8 conversion for
those who have a death wish.

This car runs great, much faster than I
thought it would for a 4 banger.

Yes this is a shameless plug for them .. but I can't help it, they are great to deal with. The quality of their work is flawless, the prices are bargain basement and they ship the product faster than I thought would be possible givin the state of the US Postal Service ... I guess Bobbi of Southern Exposure Signs and Graphics must have a connection there ?

My new hood logo

I was amazed how easy these decals are to put on ... and believe me ... I'm new to all of this - A year ago I would have been scared to death to put a decal on a car, but the enjoyment to these cars is doing things yourself.

I'm thinking of replacing the white Fiero lettering on the window with Pontiac (In Gold)

Broke my heart to take off the black logo decals that were on the lower front fender .. but I do love that Gold lettering.

Added SE lettering to the sail window and had new 6" Gold Logo's made up to replace the previous ones that didn't look right after seeing the quality work that Southern Exposure does.
In all honesty this is the second Fiero I have - the first I am unable to drive because it is a 5 speed and I have nerve damage in my right shoulder. The 5 speed looks just like this one except it has gray interior and 14 inch stock wheels and is a 1985
Page 2 has my other car on it
page 3 has the many problems I encountered in restoring them

ok the little pontiac lettering (Etching) is not from Southern Exposure
it was an eBay item that I liked.
