The trip to Bruin was embarrassing when we got stuck in the mud. So it was finally time to remove those pretty 18" rims and Pirelli tires.
First I found a set of pre-owned 16" LR rims.

Steven did not want to put silver rims on the black truck, so we decided to paint them satin black. So they would hopefully look a bit more custom we left a 1/4 inch rim silver around the exterior.

Getting the edge to be a clean sharp look was not as easy as we had hoped. After numerous attempts we designed a little Lego tool to run around the perimeter. As we used the Lego tool we were able to cut the tape.

The next step was to finally add the 32's. (33's would involve beefing up the drive train from the added stress. Since we already added the OME heavy duty lift - 32's would fit nicely) we decided on BFG MUD TR's, 265-75-16's
A MUCH BETTER LOOK.
