Mazda 626

This is my second car an oldschool rwd mazda 626 nicknamed Tank by the family, and thats what it is...

the body isnt in the best condition so theres a bit of work to be done there, but first i need to get it starting and running properly so i can get it off that grass before 1. it sinks in and 2. my mum pushes it down the hill :D

sitting on standard mazda rims, i managed to get an old owners manual off some old guy before i brought the car, and yes the picture in the book looks just like this one

ive always liked the shape of the 4dr, it means you can take all your mates for a cruise and its easy to get them in and out... unlike a coupe :P

the whole car was painted matt black the original colour was metallic blue, you can see it on the inside of the doors where the guy didnt paint it... the shiny bit on the door... thats gloss black... the matt black hides some nice faults in the vehicle like the rust and dents... when i straightn it up i think it'll either be semi-gloss black or gun metal grey with some air brushing

currently looking for chrome bumpers and the whole 79 nosecone swap.

First things first though needs some wheels and lowering... i have the wheels sorted us800's off a mate and someone said they would chop the springs, but we're not going down that road or i might have to do some chopping of legs :D

5/9/2006 - Finally got the us800s on, they were pretty grotty and i wanted to tidy them up but in the end i just gave up and put them on as they were, kinda suits the car as it is, i'll get some pics up as soon as i can...

got holidays coming up in a couple of weeks, so im going to start sanding down the body and prepping it so it can be painted, hopefully in a months time it'll all be done, but i guess we'll see about that... but yea i have 12 days to strip the car and then get it to a panelbeaters
