I just got a URD Short Throw Shifter
The camera is to give you a idea the size of the kit
YOu have to remove the top of the console, and the cover under it. Then you must remove the 4 bolts holding the shifter to the tranny.
There's a white plastic spacer(?) on the shift ball you have to remove it and put it on the new shift ball. The 2 spacers go around the old ball then you slide the new one over it, and tighten the 2 set screws on the sides (use red loctite). Next you need to puch around the set screw holes to help keep the screws from vibrating out. There's alittle more but it comes with good instructions.
So any difference in throw?
You can feel a difference, reverse is alot stiffer to get into, and the gears do feel closer almost as much as my wifes Xb, and yes to me the shifter does feel like it's sitting alittle higher too.
