Well a few weeks ago I absolutely totalled my car driving home from school with my brothers. Here is a quick version of what happened. I was driving on the plowed and salted freeway at 65 mph at 4pm on that Thursday. It was sunny outside with no turns in the road or hills. I hit a patch of black ice that had formed when snow blew back over the road. I then hit a bump at the same time and my back end kicked out. It continued sliding on the ice and I could not regain control. I am very experienced driving in snow and bad conditions and the car did not respond to anything I did.
I slid totally sideways down the freeway and slid across the front of a semi. Just missing the semi I hit a mound of plowed snow between the exit ramp and the freeway with the driver's side door. I flipped over the top of it and landed on the roof. We then slid across the ramp and stopped in a snow bank on the far side.

We crawled out and the passenger side window and then were taken by ambulances to a nearby hospital. None of us sustained any serious injuries, mainly because we were all wearing seatbelts. I had a scratch across my knuckles. My brother in the front seat cut the top of his head up pretty good, got a concussion and got cut on his hands. He ended up with 18 stitches and 21 staples. Overall they were superficial. My brother in the back seat did not have a mark on him other than a red mark where a speck of glass hit him and didn't break the skin.

I bought a new car about a week and a half ago. It is pretty much the EXACT same car except it is a manual and is in overall better condition with fewer miles.
