5/5/09 Today I finally got to see a new 2009 Camaro in person. Oh my god it is so much better than in pictures. And the interior, oh man the Challenger has nothing on it. It is so confortable. Unfortunately the dealership won't let you drive it until they figure some numbers and see if you qualify to buy it. At least at the dealership near my house.
They had a black one and it was there only for about a week and it sold. The one they have right now is Yellow and it's a 6 cyl. They marked it up $10k of over the asking price which really sucks; so the price is $39,460.00. I think if the dealerships really want to sale more, then they shouldn't be so stiken gready. They should leave it a price that people can afford. $29K sounded much better.
Anyhow, I think the car met all my expecations as far as appearances. It's a sweet looking ride and some day I will finally take one for a test drive. I don't think I would pay the price they are asking for them at this time. I will just have to wait.
If anyone has bought one alreay tell my what you think of it, I really would like to know.
I happened to run across this site, found it very interesting. Now this car I might pay 70K for.

You can see my header on the driverside is really low. When I put the new ones on I will need to make sure it's not as low. It currently scraps over bumps, real bad.
I've been asked to discribe the engine. It is a 350 small block, it has an edelbrock manifold and carb. I have new headers to add that are ceramic coated. The motor does have a cam; I'm not sure of the details, my friend I bought it from dead about 2 years ago and I forgot what he told me it had. But it is fast. It used to be in his 67 Suburban and that thing was heavy. He told me its out of a late 60's or early 70's Camaro, he didn't know which one exactly. When I bought it from him; he just had it rebuilt and it had approximately 3000 miles on it. She dosen't have too much more as I have not been able to drive her. She was in the body shop for 5 years. That's what you get when you have a friend do the paint she didn't need really any bodywork except a little on the driverside rear quarter panel. But, it was totally worth the wait. It looks even better in person. Thank you to the person for asking about the engine. Anytime I can talk about my baby I will and I can go for days about her. Sometimes I think I might annoy my friends. Oh well. :O)
Before and after
This is me after a long hard day of working on her new interior. She got new carpet and new houndstooth seat replacement covers.
Thank you for checking out my rides.

Well I got to work on the car a little this weekend. I wanted to get it back in the trailer as well. So I put the re-upohlstered in houndstooth front seats back in the car and the new upohlstered bottome rear. I need to order some omore buttons to finish the back seat. I'm not putting the fold down seat in yet. I need to order quite a bit of parts to make it work. So check back another time to see what's new.
