I bought this truck as my first vehicle, from a guy in Ottawa who didnt really wanna sell it, but he called me back a few weeks later and decided he wanted to sell it.I'd have to say its pretty sweet for a first truck, those stripes are mopar colors for some people who dont know. Its got a 360 motor, edelbrock 750 carb, edelbrock intake, accel ignition coil,8mm accel ignition wires, accel plugs, 33' mickey thomson Baja Claw radials. And I have 35' radial tires on black rims for winter, The floors are diamond plated and I have a grant steering wheel to go on it in the spring. I have the front 40/20/40 split bench seat from a 98 Ram in it, the back seat is just the regular old leather but its been recovered. Like All Dodges shes got the typical wheel well rust, and the cab corners are rusted, which will get fixed when i get some cash together for it.Its got a 98 ram grille on it too, but i took that off, didnt really like the look, so the old grill was spray painted black by somebody soemwhere down the line, so it's not the big chrome grill these trucks used to have, but it looks pretty sick. Apparently it has 3.23 gears in the rear and 3.21 or something like that in the front, the axles are out of an 88 power ram, but ive just got the tranny rebuilt, it has a deep pan B&M on it,and a shift kit, with a high-stall torque covertor.I think I have the powertrain problems that were in existance when i bought it solved, and now shes running like a top, but i wanna go with some lower gears for pulling at truck pulls. Let me know what u think on my poll. Shortly after i had the tranny rebuilt, i broke a u-joint, and it snapped the yoke on my driveshaft in half..
Just to give you an idea,
I'm 6'4" and the truck is
normally way over my head...shit.
A buddys chevy who tried to pull me out.
The quality of this picture isnt the best it was taken on a buddys camera phone cuz the digital camera wasnt working, but heres the story on this one...
a buddy with a 4x4 mazda b2600 calls me up, he says hes going into the bush to get a load of wood, just wanted to make sure i was gonna be around to go and get him if he gets stuck..Well..He got stuck..Then I went in to get him..and sure enough i was in 4 low haulin on it, and i woulda made it but there was a tree right in the way..But I didnt get it stuck like a pussy...I Buried it..holy frig. Then we called another buddy, so he came down. He got stuck with his chevy, then we called 4 more buddys, 3 more trucks, nothing moved the chev, not even a 1986 gmc with a 383 stroker, so we were screwed, then 2 guys went for a tractor, came back with an old 454 gm with a winch, well it took alot to get the chevy out, but we finally got it, after a buddy took a face full of mud, priceless. Then we tried to winch me out, No Go..not even close.. so i called my uncle, he came down with his tractor, got me out..and they winched the mazda out of the hole he was in further than me, i never made it to him,so they cut some trees down, made another path. But couldnt get it the rest of the way, so we waited for the tractor.. got me out.. but then i realized that when i was down in the hole, i bent the front stabilizer bar that goes from tie rod end to tie rod end on both tires.. so we used some blocks of wood, and pushed it back in with the tractor so i could hobble home, by the end of it we had 6 trucks,10 guys, a tractor, and a bonfire going to keep ourselves warm, i didnt plan on it, but it was a damn good time lads
All The Lads and Some of the ruts on the right.
