SOLD 3/25... new car: 2001 VW Passat. i hope to get another BII in the future and do the mods that i was plannin for this one, but right now i just had to go with something that gets better gas mileage and is more reliable.

purchased this 85 bronco II for $600 back in june of 06. i'll be driving it for the rest of college and probably keep it afterwards and turning it into a 5.0 offroading machine. so i'm planning on puttin a lot of work into it. right now it has the 2.8 V6 and 5-speed manual which seem to be in pretty good shape considering the 150k miles. the interior is good as well other than the lack of a headliner of anykind and considering it's older than me.
after lookin around online at various places i've come up with several mods i'd like to accomplish (as i get the money of course)

just got some "baja tough" off road lights mounted on my brush guard. still have to wire them but they look pretty good sittin there.
so far i've just replaced filters, changed the oil, and tried to clean it up a bit. there's quite a bit of rust which is a little disconcerning... bodywork may be in the future as well...
this is the bII
as you can see the wheels are gettin a little rusty, i just got some new ones, should be on in a couple weeks with new tires
here's the brush guard that came with the bII when i bought it, and the baja tough off-road lights i just got
rusty wheels/hubs
rear 3/4 view
rusty leaf springs...
more rust...
broken exhaust pipe
new sony head unit, and rest of the dash
tires i'll be gettin

this is my idea for a sub box in the back seat legroom area...
