These are my most recent pics with the brushguard lights and flames.
So she's not the greatest thing out there, but she is my first car and I'm about as proud of her as I can be. Still stock in these pics, but I still have yet to do any serious mods. Had to drive practically 90 miles to buy this little truck, but it was well worth it! A 1999 Nissan Frontier XE Kingcab 4x4, aztec red, automatic transmission (I still need to learn manual), 90K miles, alloy wheels, protecta liner for the gigantic bed, new Capitol Radial A/T tires and no more than a few scratches (really badly touched up) on it. Pretty nice, and I still can't believe I've got it!
The first day after I had driven 90 miles to get it and 90 miles back home. Looks pretty good in the driveway.
Shot from the back. For some reason, my tailgate didn't have any writing on the back like I've normally seen, just flat black. I guess it leaves room for different options.
Side shot. Perfectly clean, flat sides so never been wrecked. This pic shows those awful wheel flares though, that've really been treated badly. I fixed that up later with some tire shine and they look good as new now.
Brand new wheels and tires on this baby. Unfortunately, the tires are too large for this little truck so if I turn too sharply, there's a really unpleasant sound of the tires rubbing on something, just about every time I have to park. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Check out how HUGE that truck bed is! The largest in its class, I've been told. OK, the bedliner is ugly, but it's functional and I didn't have to pay for it.
Nice shot. You can tell the sides are perfectly flat too.
I noticed its got a lot of old-school equipment, such as the rolling windows and the doors that don't lock automatically, so I always have to remind my passengers to lock their door. Only standard on the XE models, the SE have all those nice conveniances. Fewer things to go wrong is the only bonus here.
Summer Project: Going to update these locks and convert them to power locks with a security system!
As you can see, it also only has a tape deck. I've got a tape adaptor for an ipod or CD player in it now, but I hope to soon get an in-dash CD/MP3 player so I won't have to hassle with it all the time. (UPDATE: Got a new Sony Xplode head unit, check next page!)
One of the better things it came with were the window deflectors on both sides. The back windows don't open unlike some of the other Frontiers, so the deflectors aren't necessary.
It is a 4 wheel drive, which gets worse gas mileage than a 2WD, but since I only use the 4WD in the snow, it gets the latter's mileage, which is 20-22 and 24-26 compared to the 15-16 and 19-20.
Please sign my guestbook and vote on the poll!
