400 small block chevy with a cam in it, but not sure what kind. The carb needs a lot of work or just pitched. Its a Q-Jet thats way to tired to be chuggin this truck around. Im lookin for a 570 Holley with elec choke and all that good stuff. Currently she is runnin too lean and igniting my catalytic converter up. I got out and saw a smoke cloud comin out from under the truck and I seen my new glasspack on the passangers side all black from being heated up. I took a look down the tail pipe and the mesh for the cat was glowing. Some theories are that its runnin rich possibly due to bad wires or plugs...or it could be that the fluid from the blown head gaskets is making its way through the cats and heatin it up!
