My front seats. Are these original? Anyone know? The broken gear shift lever that I can't seem to find a replacement for. Pictures of the axles Front axle... Rear axle... Here are a couple more pictures... The day I got it home. Proof that it did run at one point. Here is a picture I took after I took the dash out. Hmmm... I wonder why the brakes suck? You can't tell in the picture but the cylinders were completely mucked up with this crystalline substance that may have been brake fluid once. I removed the carpet/tarpaper that *someone* installed. Some of the rust is surface, some of it is deeper and there are a few that go all the way through. How bad is this for a 71 Scout? If you look to the right of the gas pedal you will see the largest of the actual holes where it corroded all the way through. Also, the area around the body mount on the left is corroded pretty bad - this is actually my biggest concern right now.

looks like its in pretty rough shape, but i dont know of too many scouts ihc's that were really well taken care of. actually, ive seen maybe one around my area...and it was pretty beat. but yours looks not so bad and will definetly be a good project. Parts will probably be the biggest issue. well good luck come check out my stuff sometime
