Overview
Started off as a totally stock base 6 cylinder convertible with 3 speed manual transmission. A "dime a dozen" secretaries car.
The idea is for quick easy projects while enjoying the car during the process.
I bought this car as a driver. Good body and running gear, absolutely bone stock.

Each of the projects has been a weekend or less upgrade (with the exception of the big winter chassis project).
The goal for this car is a modernized version of the classic G.T.350, that is competent on a long weekend cruise, yet nimble at the track (basically performance akin to a '93 Cobra).

List of projects for this build:
(completed projects have asterick)

*Classic Auto Air "perfect fit" indash A/C kit. You have to be cool, to look cool.

*T5z (Motorsport) 5 speed manual transmission. More gears for more fun!

*8.8" rear end with True-Trac 31 spline torsen carrier, 3.73:1 FRPP gears and Girdle, Superior axles. Excellent alternative to the more expensive 9". And as a bonus the 8.8" rear is more efficient.

*Randall's Power Rack and Pinion Steering. Precise quick steering brings a modern feel to driving a classic.

*Opentracker Racing Products Upper control arms, and roller perches, Global West lower control arms, Street-or-Track Strut rods, 1" sway bar, cut stock springs and Shelby/Arning UCA drop, KYB Gas-a-just front shocks. This is a major improvement to handling and control.

*TCP subframe connectors and cross brace. These first generation "Unibody" cars flex more than Arnold Schwartzeneger in front of a mirror.

*4 Wheel Cobra disc brakes, with power booster and dual reservior master cylinder. Because drums belong in a rock and roll band, not a car.

*Caltrac traction bars, Maier Adjustable Panhard bar, Prothane heavy duty shackles, KYB GR-2 rear shocks. Tightening up the glutimus maximus.

*AC III Wheels from Team III17x8 w/4.75" backspacing. Old school Cobra charmer.

Updates in progress

Deluxe Decor group (aka "Pony interior") with full center console and GT gauge cluster. In the process of this now. I have installed the steering wheel, dash bezel, and glove box door. I've also refurbished an original full length console and cut it to fit the convertible, and A/C. Still to come are the wood grain insterts for the console, and the "Pony" door components.

Stroked small block, with Ford EEC EFI. I Picked up a 90GT with a 340HP crate engine and a Vortech supercharger. I'll stroke and bore this engine, and with some headwork and a cam change, should be an easy 450HP.
