spidersport124's 1971 Fiat Spider

This is my 1971 Fiat Spider 124. It is almost completely original and was fully restored. The audio deck is not original because we could not find the original deck. Now I have a Clairion tape deck and I am changing it to a Pioneer CD deck. I am also upgrading the audio system to a custom selected Rockford Fosgate setup. The engine has been swapped out for the rebuilt FIAT 1800CC engine instead of the original FIAT 1600CC engine, the 1800 is definately a great swap because of the difference in performance. On the new engine, I have also managed to swap the carb for a larger WEBBER Carburetor and it sucks...no really if you put you hand 6-7 inches away from the carbs filter, you can feel the massive amount of air being sucked in to the engine at only 1/8 throttle! K&N has a high flow performance "oval" filter kit which can be fitted on the 124's carb opening and topped with a hi-polish stainless filter cover! My ignition system has been upgraded to a high performance ignition system made by Magneti Marelli. The ignition wires are made by MSD ignition which make a great set of high performance resistor wires. As far as the spark plugs go, I have a set of Magneti's under there. The exhaust system has been custom made using mandrel-bent piping from the headers back. The system was finnished off with a high performance MAGNAflow oval muffler and a polished stainless tip. I have "swaped" the rims from the chromodoras to a set of FIAT magnesium wheels I had purchased. The wheels are wrapped in 205/60/13 SUMITOMO rubbers. These tires really add some heavy grip when making quick, sharp turns.

Please leave feedback of what pics you would like to see of the Fiat.

hi i have a 124 spyder that i just got. Upon rebuilding it no good news. The block needs to be drilled out 40 over(almost 1 mm). Problem is this....cant find oversized pistons if its bored over. Do you know where i could find a new block or oversized pistons? By the way its a brava engine. Thanks, cathy
